Symphonia has a lot more skits than Legendia, and it's more geared toward multiple playthroughs. You can cook anywhere in Symphonia, not just in towns. You don't have to collect things to learn new spells. If you've played Abyss, Symphonia is a lot closer to that. Legendia was done by the Tales Studio, so that's why it's so different.
