Heh, I am indeed still alive (and reading my head off, which is beautiful ;-), but I keep forgetting about my LJ! I should at least say "on hiatus" or something, shouldn't I? We're absolutely baking down under this summer, and are hearing all sorts of horror stories about the winter in Europe. I hope it's not hitting you too hard?
Ah well - how about posting on the special days of the year, every half year or so ^^ - that's how I do it ^^.
Thanks for worrying about me! Bavaria usually has quite a bit of snow in the winter - so in general people are geared up for it, but we rarely have had so much snow from the beginning of December - it's usually late January and February. So people are starting to worry whether all the road salt will give out and we have more accidents because of that.
Now the north of Germany has it much tougher (as did the UK) because they very, very rarely have this much snow at all, so aren't prepared.
I encourage you to savour your reading time, it usually comes to an end soon enough so it's good to squeeze the extra-juice to the last drop ^o^
Every half year, eh? I might be able to manage that! ;-) I am working on a proper catch-up post right this moment, as a matter of fact. Good to hear that your part of the country isn't suffering too badly under the snows yet; fingers crossed that the roads hold out.

Yay catch-up posts! But don't make it too encompassing or you won't sit down and do it. Much like I haven't :P
